You could ultimately update the article and be 12 sites that pay you to review websites. Hope this helps with some content creation.

Of all of the ways to make money online, getting paid to click sounds like the simplest.

But it’s also quite vague– click what, and why do I get paid?

Well I can assure you that there are legitimate ways to get paid to click, though the methods between the sites may vary a little.

Want $5 Free?
Join InboxDollars. They pay you for things you already do (watching videos, shopping, surveys & more). Plus they give you $5 for free just for joining.

In this article, I’ll show you how to avoid scams and get straight to the legit sites.

What is a PTC site?

PTC, also known as Paid To Click, is kind of like participating in an advertisement.

You may be familiar with the similar concept of Pay Per Click, which is a form of advertisement (but not the type we’ll be participating in here.)

So Pay Per Click is a form of advertisement.

Imagine a banner ad on a website. That may be a PPC, as in, the webmaster is paid every time someone clicks on it. So when you do PTC work, you’ll be clicking on those, and being paid a portion of the ad revenue.

Want a Free $5 Bonus?
Try Swagbucks, the famous rewards program that pays you for watching videos, taking surveys, shopping and more.

There are websites that pay people to participate in these advertisements. So you’re doing PTC on their PPC ads.

Sound complicated?

Account

It really isn’t!

The big picture is that everybody is making money because you are clicking on ads.

Since these sites are such an easy way to make money, there are more and more of them popping up all the time.

It’s arguably the easiest way to get paid, after all, so it makes sense to see more of them around.

How much can I get Paid to Click?

Like with a lot of the really easy ways to make money online, getting paid to click isn’t quite profitable enough to do full-time. While I do think that the money you can make from getting paid to click is worth your time, it isn’t something that is a substitute for a day job.

The way that you get the most money from getting paid to click is by getting fast at it.

In general, you can expect to be paid about $0.01 per click. So that’s 100 clicks for a dollar. It might sound like little, but once you get quicker, it’s not so bad.

Making a favorable rate from PTC isn’t impossible.

However, most sites will cap you on how many you can do per-day, because they don’t have an unlimited supply of them to give you. So you’ll either be making a set amount from a site, or you’ll need to sign up for multiple.

If you see sites advertising really high per-click rates, like 50¢ or $1, it’s definitely a scam. I’ll talk more about scams in a second, so keep that in mind.

So, for these reasons, it would be almost impossible to making a living from PTC alone, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make some extra money with it.

And if you’re particularly inclined to it, that might be enough money to make it worth your while. Especially when it comes to money, small gains add up to big ones.

Referrals

Like many other sites, PTC sites offer referrals where you’ll be rewarded for directing people to the site.

Since these sites work by making small gains at a time, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of these referrals, which can greatly increase your earnings.

With a lot of the money-making sites out there, especially PTC sites, referrals are by far the best way to make money.

Now different sites offer different incentives for referrals. Some offer lump-sum bonuses (like $3 or something) and other offer long-term bonuses, like a fraction of your referrals’ earnings. Some sites may offer both.

Even further than that, some referral sites work on a multi-layered system, where you’ll even get benefits from your referrals’ referrals. This is great if you have some kind of way to get your referral link out there. And it’s easy to see how the earning adds up:

If you get 15% of each referrals’ earnings, and then half of their referrals’ referrals earnings, and then half of those people’s referrals’ earnings, then now you’re sitting on top of a large income stream (even if it looks complicated written down, it’s very simple!) This means that if you introduce a lot of active users to the site, you can get some really great passive income coming in.

Getting your link out there to even a few people is better than nothing, since these sites heavily favor people who refer. If you’re a member of a relevant forum or anything similar, it’s highly recommended to share your referral link.

Beware of Scams!

The more skeptical readers here will perhaps still be a bit wary.

A lot of money making methods on the internet have the reputation of being too good to be true, because a lot of them are.

Many people have experienced the harsh reality of being scammed on the internet, and that hurts the appeal of these sites a bit.

Like any other sites out there, you must beware of PTC scam sites.

These will often look just like a legitimate site, though some deeper knowledge about the site will show that it is indeed a scam (usually, it means they’ll deny payout requests or do random account deletions.)

Now as I said before, beware any site that is offering to give amazing rates per-click. If you could be making $20+ an hour from whatever rate they’re offering, it is definitely a scam. That’s a shame, of course, because we’d all love it to be true. But that’s exactly what makes it an enticing scam.

Don’t be fooled!

Because of this situation, it’s better to stick with PTC sites that have a trusted reputation.

Real Websites That Pay You

Sometimes, it’s a good idea to give unknown sites a try, but that’s not the case when it comes to PTC or most money-making sites. Look up reviews of a site if you’re not sure if you can trust it.

To save you the trouble of deciphering which sites are safe and which sites are not, I’ve got a list of some trustworthy PTC sites here that I can confirm are safe and legitimate.

Sites that pay you

These are some of the most well-known sites, and for good reason. It’s important that a PTC site have a good reputation, to distinguish it from scammers.

Top 10 PTC Sites

1. ClixSense

I would probably say that ClixSense is the most well-known PTC site, and they also have some of the best rates.

If you’re only going to sign up with a few, this should definitely be on your list.

Real Websites That Pay You

  • Rates: $0.001 to $0.02 for each ad clicked.
  • Referral: 10% to 100% of your referral’s earnings.
  • Payout: You can pay out once you’ve got $8. They pay out to AlertPay or PayPal like most of the others, but also offer to pay out to Liberty Reserve as well. Will be sent within 5 days of requesting.

2. GPTPlanet

This is among the older PTC sites out there.

  • Rate: $0.001-$0.01 per ad clicked.
  • Referral: 10% to 100% of your referral’s earnings.
  • Payout: AlertPay or PayPal, and the minimum is $1. They cash out instantly.

3. CashNhits

Websites

CashNhits pays considerably lower than some of the other sites on this list, but they are well-trusted and guaranteed to pay out.

  • Rate: $0.0005 to $0.002 per ad clicked.
  • Referral: 10% to 100% of your referral’s earnings.
  • Payout: To PayPal or Alertpay, with a minimum of $1. Sent instantly.

4. BuxP

This is a site that bills itself as a revenue sharing network. They offer PTC tasks.

  • Rate: $0.001 to $0.005
  • Referrals: 50% to 100% of your referral’s earnings.
  • Payout: These guys pay out to AlertPay or PayPal. Unlike many others on this list, they have a fairly high payout minimum of $7.99. However, it is sent instantly.

5. Clicks4Cents

Now Clicks4Cents seems to offer some conflicting information.

I used them a while back, and the rates were around $0.001 to $0.015, but their front page now says $0.05 per click.

I also thought that their payout minimum is $1, but the front page says $50.

Some reports on the internet say that the once legit Clicks4Cents site was bought and turned into a scam site, so proceed at your own risk.

6. PaidToClick

These guys definitely nailed it with their name; they definitely do pay to click. Other than their highly relevant name, they function much the same as other PTC sites.

  • Rates: $0.001 to $0.01 per ad clicked.
  • Referral: You make 5% to 10% of your referral’s ad earnings.
  • Payout: Sent automatically once a month via PayPal.

7. EasyHits4u

These guys are tried-and-true, but know that they have perhaps the lowest pay of any site on this list. This is partially because they pay per-chunk of views (per 1000.)

  • Rates: $0.03 per 1000 clicks/views.
  • Referral: 10% to 100% of your referral’s earnings.
  • Payout: Will send instantly to PayPal or AlertPay once you have $3.

8. Incentria – Update: Site closed down

Another middle-of-the-road PTC site, Incentria makes a good supplementary site if you are out of tasks on some of the others. They have slightly lower rates to the average.

  • Rates: $0.001 to $0.005 per ad clicked.
  • Referral: 10% to 100% of your referral’s earnings.
  • Payout: Much like Clicksia, sent somewhere between instantly and 7 days within request. Can be paid to PayPal or to Alert Pay.

9. Clicksia – Update: Site closed down

First on the list is Clicksia. They’re pretty straightforward.

Rate: Between $0.001 to $0.005 per ad clicked.

Referrals: 10% to 100% of your referral’s earnings.

Payout: To Alert pay or PayPal, with a low minimum threshold of $1. They might pay out anywhere from 7 days to instantly, so it’s pretty varied.

10. Ayuwage

Along with ClixSense, I would say this is another must-try of the options on this list. One of the best things about Ayuwage is that you can do it for as long as you want– they have no maximum on the amount of ads that you can click.

  • Rates: Between $0.001 and $0.015 per ad clicked.
  • Payout: Paid to Alert Pay, PayPal, or Liberty Reserve. Payout minimum is $1 and is sent within 5 days of requesting.

Thoughts in closing?

Of all the PTC sites I looked into, these 10 seemed to be the most trustworthy (with the possible exception of Clicks4Cents.)

If you’re going to try a PTC site, I heavily recommend choosing one from this list.

Also, please keep in mind that the amount of money you can make on these sites is very limited. At best you may make a $10-$20 a month. So don’t get your hopes too high.

Like most methods of making money online, getting paid to click requires some dedication and consistency. Don’t give up before you make it to your payout minimum!

And if you can, definitely refer a few friends or internet acquaintances.

You’ve seen over and over the different articles about earning extra money with Apps.

The majority of them are survey sites in which maybe you just don’t have the time or the patience to work through.

Not to worry, you can still earn a considerable amount just by watching videos. Here are eighteen sites that pay you to watch Ads.

Table of Contents

1. Swagbucks

Swagbucks does have surveys listed, but you can earn by doing so much more.

You can also earn by shopping online through their site, search the web with their browser, check out deals, play games, as well as watch videos.

You can download their App, hit Play videos and put your phone down and do other activities while it continues to play.

2. FusionCash

I listed this one last as they do offer earnings for viewing videos it’s very limited and you must have the window open and viewable at all times.

Legit Websites That Pay You

Nonetheless, FusionCash gives you another way to earn by watching videos.

Now you have 18 different sites to watch videos instead of those long, countless surveys. An added bonus is that these sites will give you a bonus of $5 or $10 for signing up!

The quickest way to earn towards your gift card or cash is to do the “Daily Tasks” that many of these sites have – usually just 5 things, refer your friends to the program – you could earn from their earnings, then let the videos run while you do other chores, work online, or even while you sleep.

Cycle through each App or website each day, or designate a day for each site only. In due time you’ll earn several free gift cards and cash.

3. InboxDollars

I love InboxDollars for it’s ease of use and many options to earn points.

Not only are there surveys, you can also shop, play games, watch videos on the website, and other options – you can download the App which is just for watching videos only.

You also earn a scratch & win card after a certain amount of earning actions as well as after a certain number of videos.

The number of videos you can view a day on the App is limited, but not so much that you can’t play them all night while you sleep.

4. MyPoints

I have earned countless gift cards on this site through their shopping portal as well as from reading emails. They’ve recently added a video portal on the MyPoints site.

You do need to stay on the video page and view several in a row before getting your earnings and they must be viewable otherwise the timer pauses.

Instead you can download their video viewing only App called Daily Scoop.

5. EarningStation

Another survey site that offers more than surveys. EarningStation also gives you the choice to play games, check out offers, print coupons, play games, shop and watch videos.

An Android App is available and even though the F.A.Q. says there’s an iOS App, I cannot locate it anywhere.

Nonetheless, you can have the website open on a browser and play videos while working or browsing on another tab.

6. CashCrate

Another small-task site with offers, surveys, shopping, referrals and a daily “check in”.

CashCrate pays to watch videos, but there’s a slight catch – they’ll flash 2 numbers across the video screen while the video is playing and you have to enter these numbers at the end in order to be credited.

7. National Consumer Panel

This site is a consumer data site where you scan products you’ve purchased to earn points. You either use your smartphone camera, or they’ll send you an actual scanner to use.

After a while, the National Consumer Panel will send you videos and you’ll need to answer questions about the videos.

8. QuickRewards

Another basic survey site that also offers video viewing for points. QuickRewards is slightly different from the “mainstream” reward sites as you can actually be more specific to how you want to earn.

For example instead of joining the whole site, you can opt for “Shop & Save” (shopping only), “Paid for your Opinions” (surveys only), or the “Earn Cash Online” (offers, emails, videos and more).

9. Perk

Perk has several different Apps under it’s name that does a variety of things such as shopping, quizzes, scratch & win, television check-in, and watching videos.

The video viewing App is called PerkTV. I have claimed about $50 in Amazon cards through their video App.

It used to be that you could run it all night without interruptions, but they’ve recently changed that and started asking if you’re still watching.

10. CashPirate

This is a downloadable App that pays you to watch videos, download free games and apps, product trials, surveys and others.

You can make about 300 “coins” a day on CashPirate, in a week (7 days) you’ll have 2,100 points. 2,500 points is needed for a $2.50 PayPal card. It seems to be a quicker earning site than most.

11. Viggle

Viggle is one of Perk’s Apps and it’s a great App to use if you watch a lot of television or streaming services.

You simply play your television show, get the App to “listen” and when the correct show pops up, check in and forget it.

It plays videos intermittently, but you can just put your phone down and watch your show. Check in to a new show to start over again.

12. CheckPoints

Even though this is a shopping rebate App, CheckPoints does have a great video player on it.

You can earn hundreds of points just watching videos, the only drawback is you have to close each ad that plays between videos to keep continuing.

13. Creations Rewards

Earn rewards the same way as many other sites on Creation Rewards that includes watching videos too.

Their video page has two types of videos – unlimited videos to stream (the EngageMe videos) and others are one time viewing for points and they disappear after you’ve watched them.

14. AdFun

This website and App is completely different from the rest I’ve mentioned. This is a prize bidding site.

You can be part of a team or go solo, chat online with friends and your team and earn bidding money by watching videos.

You can select what sponsor you prefer to win prizes from and much more. Basically you watch videos to earn “money” towards a prize to bid on.

15. AppNana

This is an App that pays “Nanas” to download games and Apps. The great thing about AppNana is that you get these games and Apps for free instead of their regular cost.

You then redeem the Nanas for free gift cards for Amazon, iTunes, Google Play or Xbox. You also earn Nanas for watching videos as well.

It does take a while to earn up points, but for free games and Apps, why not?

16. Netflix

Yes, you can earn some money working for Netflix. The opportunity to work as a “tagger” is rare but keeping an eye on their job page you may get lucky.

It’s only a part-time job but if you’re a binge-watcher, this is a great side hustle to have.

17. YouTube

Real Websites That Pay Your Debts

Yes, you can get paid to watch YouTube videos on any topic you like. Just sign up at Paid2YouTube and start watching.

You can earn more for commenting, rating videos and referring friends. You earn 0.005 per video, 0.10 per comment, 0.01 per rating and 0.15 for each subscription you make.

18. App Trailers

This site pays you to watch videos about new Apps, video games, movie trailers and such.

The only drawback to using App Trailer is that you have to click next to see the next video, so this is a one at a time video viewer.

Final Thoughts

We hope you’ve enjoyed this list of 18 sites that pay you to watch ads. See one that’s not on this list and should be? Feel free to let us know in the comments below. Thanks for reading and happy frugaling.
